Barsheem is a singer, songwriter, vocal arranger and producer. His sound derives from soul, pop, r & b, hip hop and jazz. Marvin Gaye, Billie Holiday, Miles Davis, Tony Bennett, Babyface, Prince, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson and A Tribe CAlled Quest are among his many musical influences. He has recorded four albums. "FUNKTASTIC PARTY" (2005), "FUNKTASTICS IN THE SKY" (2007), "FANNY FUN FACTS PRESENTS: FANNY AND FRIENDS VOL. 1" (2007) and his debut album "WHAT IS TO BE MAJOR"(2016) Four singles followed. "LET'S DO IT ONE MORE TIME", "IN WONDER", "SHE DON'T HAVE TO COME HOME" and "B BOY".

He has appeared in two episodes of NBC's "American Dreams" where he played Stephen Caldwell, the only male member of the “Don’t Hang Up” quartet The Orlons.  He was later chosen to play the leading role in yet another episode, as Bobby Freeman doing his hit song “Do the Swim”.  Barsheem’s feature film debut as part of the group, Little Albert and The Tru Tones in the major motion picture "Dreamgirls" gave him a chance to see what filming a movie entailed. Ironically all of these roles required him to portray a crooner with a classic sense of style that he naturally embodies.
